This is a common question I’m asked and I see a lot of people make this mistake…

Do I have to earn the 135,000 Southwest Points needed to earn the Southwest Companion Pass in one year?

Southwest Companion Pass Dominican Republic

Yes, you will need to accumulate the required points in ONE CALENDAR YEAR.

That means January 1 through December 31.

As soon as you earn the pass in that year, say 2023, it will be good from that point through the FOLLOWING year, so the end of 2024.

So it’s better to earn the points as early in the year as you can so you can use the pass for as long as possible.

So make sure all of your points are earned and CREDITED as early as possible, making the pass last as long as two years.

What other questions do you guys have?
