Have you ever considered a meal delivery service? My family absolutely loves HelloFresh and have been using them for years. I would use them WITHOUT the ability to earn points, but here’s the better news: there are a TON of them that offer you Southwest points when you subscribe, even if it’s just for one week!
About Meal Delivery Services

There are many meal delivery services available to meet different dietary needs. Most of these services deliver fresh ingredients with detailed recipe instructions and then you cook the meal, while others deliver prepared meals you just heat and enjoy.
I love this because I am notorious for starting to cook a meal only to notice I’m missing a key ingredient. With a meal delivery service, you can rest assured ALL ingredients are there ;-).
You also have the option to pick the recipes you want from a list of meals each week. Most plans allow you select how many meals you would like each week, as well as the option to skip weeks or put a hold on delivery (in case you’re traveling ???? or you just don’t want the expense for the week).
Earning Southwest Points
If you sign up for many of these services right, you can earn points through Southwest. These are points that you can use to book FREE flights on Southwest and most of them qualify for the Southwest Companion Pass!
The only points that would NOT qualify for the Companion Pass would be any points that are described as “bonus” points within the portal.
Using the Southwest Rapid Rewards shopping portal (we explain how to use the shopping portal HERE), you can find meal delivery services and the points associated with each option.
You might even try a NEW meal delivery service EACH week and earn the associated points. You could rack up a TON of points that way!
Using the Rapid Rewards Shopping Portal to Order Meal Delivery Kits

Start at the Southwest Rapid Rewards Shopping Portal.
Be sure to log in to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account or create an account if you don’t already have one. I like to then search Categories and choose “Food & Dining”.
Here you will not only see meal delivery services, but many other food delivery options. You can scroll through to find what you are looking for and choose the service that you want to try.
There are also some discount codes that will sweeten these deals even more, but be sure NOT to use coupon codes if they aren’t listed on the Rapid Rewards Shopping Portal, as it may keep you from earning those Southwest points!
Typically you will see the points post to your account within three to five days, but you might have to contact them if it takes longer than 15 days.
You can click “Contact” on the bottom of the portal, which gives you a form you can fill out and submit. Also, you can find your points earned under “My Account” then “Transactions.” Always double-check your account on Southwest.com to ensure the points get posted to your Rapid Rewards account.

Earn Points Local Restaurant Delivery Using DoorDash

DoorDash is a service that will deliver meals from local restaurants straight to your door. Simply download the app and order from your favorite restaurant without leaving home.
If you hold the card_name, card_name or the Chase Freedom cards, you get a complimentary DashPass from DoorDash, which grants you free delivery for all orders more than $12.
With the card_name, my FAVORITE travel card, you get a complimentary DashPass for a minimum of one year when you activate it by December 31, 2027.
Remember Chase points transfer to Southwest at a 1:1 ratio, so you CAN use them to book FREE Southwest flights, but these points do NOT count toward the 135,000 points you need to earn the Southwest Companion Pass.
Will you be taking advantage of meal-delivery services to earn Southwest points?
